Hydrocarbon Seepage: From Source to Surface

SEG / AAPG's latest volume in the high profile Geophysical Developments Series deals with one of dGB's specialties: seismic fluid migration path interpretation. Edited by Fred Aminzadeh, Tim Berge and dGB's Chief Geologist David Connolly. It is intended to be a landmark reference for understanding seep occurrences and demonstrating the development and use of new technologies to image them with a focus on exploration and field development applications. The book contains many articles and references to the Chimney Cube technology and to studies performed by dGB specialists.

Neural Networks and Other Soft Computing Techniques

Fred Aminzadeh and Paul de Groot's book is available from the EAGE bookshop. The book aims to give an in-depth, yet easy to read, introduction into Soft Computing and the main techniques employed by geo-scientists. A CD and DVD with OpendTect + plugins and a 3D seismic data set + wells are included for hands-on experimentation with neural networks.
