Proposals
The SSIS 3 proposal describes the consortium set up and ideas for general improvements and extensions. In addition two special R&D projects “Improving 3D Chrono-stratigraphy” and “Well Correlations” are started in conjunction. Members decide how their funds are to be spent: on developing general improvements, or on one of the special R&D projects that are conducted within the context of SSIS 3. These projects are steered by separate steering committees formed from representatives of dGB and the sponsoring parties. Proposals for these projects are described in separate documents. Members are encouraged to sponsor these projects with additional funds over and above the membership fee. In return they will receive project depended benefits.
